What is Divergence?
Divergence is price making a new extreme while momentum fails to confirm—common into late wave 5.
Divergence is when price makes a new extreme but a momentum indicator (often MACD or RSI) does not. In Elliott context, wave 5 frequently shows divergence versus wave 3.
Divergence warns that the current motive may be exhausting—especially into an ending diagonal—but it is not an automatic reverse Signal.
Subscribers can treat provider divergence notes as context; wait for Progress Actions or a new structured Signal before flipping bias.
