What is Leverage?

Leverage multiplies exposure versus account cash. It raises profit and loss per pip; PipAlert does not set your broker's leverage.

Leverage lets you control a larger notional position than your account cash alone. Brokers set maximum leverage; higher leverage increases both gains and losses per pip.

PipAlert does not set your broker leverage. Signal stop distances assume you will size lots so dollar risk matches your plan—not the maximum leverage available.

If leverage is high and lot size is large, a normal Signal stop can still wipe a large share of the account. Use the risk calculator first.
