What is Slippage?

Slippage is fill price differing from the expected price, especially in fast or thin markets.

Slippage is the difference between the price you expected and the price you got filled. It is common around news, thin liquidity, and fast markets.

A PipAlert Signal publishes planned entry and stop levels; your broker fill can differ. Wide slippage can trigger stops earlier than the Signal's chart levels suggest.

Around high-Importance Economic Events, expect more slippage and wider spreads—another reason to check the Economic Calendar before copying a tight-stop Signal.
