What is Wave alternation?
Alternation suggests wave 2 and wave 4 often differ in shape—one sharp, one sideways.
Alternation is an Elliott guideline: if wave 2 is sharp (for example a zigzag), wave 4 often appears sideways (flat or triangle), and the reverse.
It is a tendency used to anticipate the shape of the next correction—not a hard rule like wave 3 never being the shortest.
Providers who mention alternation are signaling expected correction style; still wait for the Signal's concrete prices before sizing.
