What is Triangle pattern?

An Elliott triangle is a sideways A-B-C-D-E correction that often resolves with a breakout after wave E.

In Elliott terms, a triangle is a sideways correction usually labeled A-B-C-D-E. Contracting triangles get smaller; expanding triangles get larger; running triangles skew with the trend.

Breakouts beyond the triangle boundary (often after wave E) are common trade triggers. Stops frequently sit beyond wave E or the opposite boundary.
