What is Pip?
A pip is the standard unit of price movement in forex. Most pairs move in 0.0001 increments; yen pairs use 0.01.
A pip (percentage in point) is the standard unit for most forex price moves. For pairs quoted to four decimal places, one pip is 0.0001. For yen pairs quoted to two decimals, one pip is 0.01.
Traders measure stop losses, take-profits, and Signal performance in pips so results stay comparable across pairs and lot sizes. PipAlert Signals publish entry, stop loss, and take-profit levels so Subscribers can see the intended pip distance before they act.
Pip value (how much money one pip is worth) still depends on lot size and the quote currency. Use the PipAlert pip calculator when you need a USD estimate for a given pair and rate.
