What is Currency pair?
A currency pair is the instrument being traded (for example EURUSD): base currency versus quote currency.
A currency pair (or Symbol on PipAlert) names which currencies you are trading—for example EURUSD. The first currency is the base; the second is the quote.
PipAlert Signals publish the pair as part of the setup. Market Quotes are stored per Symbol so the product can show live context independent of any single Signal's entry.
Pip size and pip value rules change with the quote currency (especially JPY). The pip calculator accounts for that when you pick a pair and rate.
